Canadian Execs Divided on Value of Social Media

An interesting survey by Queens University.  400 Canadian business leaders were surveyed regarding the value of social media for business.

Four in ten (39 per cent) said social media is something they need to use, 35 per cent said they use it heavily because it’s a good opportunity for the business, and the remaining 24 per cent said it doesn’t add any value.

Wow, 24% think it adds no value for businesses?  This makes me wonder what companies were polled…

The survey also reveals that many executives worry about how the use of social media by their employees might affect the company’s reputation.
